THE UNION AND TERRITORIES

Article 1 of Indian constitution declares the sovereign democratic republic of India 'shall be the union of states' . no state has a right to secede. although the structure is federal still no state can step aside, all have to be united.
The name of Union of India is BHARAT.

Territory of India falls under three categories:
1. STATE TERRITORIES
2. UNION TERRITORIES
3. TERRITORIES WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED BY GOVERNMENT.
